Made from composite materials which allows some flexible extension but is much stronger than other strapping and will fully recover to its original shape and length after use. Has pre formed nail holds which prevents the nail from weakening the strapping when nailed onto the stake. Less ongoing maintenance will be required as the strapping does allow some flexibility but regular inspections should be carried out. Supplied without collars but can be used in conjunction with other Rainbow products. Specially designed to support all newly planted trees and available in 2.5cm and 3.8cm width 25 metre coils.
Most popular form of PVC tree strapping supplied with hoop collars and suitable for use with young and mature trees. The strapping is reinforced around pre formed nail holds which prevents the nail weakening the strapping when nailed onto the stake. Whilst the strapping will allow some movement, yearly inspections will be required as the strapping is so securely nailed into position. Hoop collars are provided per 33cm of strapping. Available in 2.5cm and 3.8cm width, 25m and 35m coils.
Used to prevent the tree and stake rubbing together which can cause damage to the tree. Sold in three different sizes 1.3cm, 2.5cm and 3.8cm, supplied in conjunction with EasiFix but can be purchased separately.
The most cost effective form of PVC strapping in the Rainbow range, it allows some stretch which is of benefit to the tree in aiding wind resistance but is still strong enough to last over 10 years in outdoor conditions. Can be used in conjunction with low priced hoop collar, rubber blocks or rubber tree cushions. Available in 2.5cm and 3.8cm width 25m coils.
Rubber Recoil Strapping
As the name suggests, a form of rubber is used in the manufacture of this strapping so it is more environmentally friendly. The material also offers much more stretch than traditional PVC strapping which is of benefit to the tree in aiding wind resistance but also this flexibility means that the strapping requires less maintenance. Inspections are recommended every three years but the strapping should last 8 years in outdoor conditions. Available in 2.5cm and 3.8cm width 20m coils.
Nylon Reinforced Rubber Strapping
A lower form of rubber is used in the manufacture of this strapping as the tensile strength is gained from the addition of the reinforcing nylon strands, it also has the environmental benefits of rubber. Should last 8 years in outdoor conditions but inspections should be conducted every year as the stretch capability of the rubber which is so beneficial to the tree, is largely lost with the reinforcing nylon strands which have little stretch. Available in 2.5cm and 3.8cm width 20m coils.
Chainlock is incredibly useful and versatile, this easy to use tree tie strapping was originally developed in the 1960’s by Rainbow and now widely used throughout the world for all sorts of tying, tree support and strapping needs. It is easily adjustable, re-useable yet quick and simple on installation. As a tree tie no spacer is required due to the Chainlock itself forming a cushion in a figure of eight design around the tree and stake. A full range of different sizes are available to suit all applications and sold in 25m coils.
